Living the life I want has meant making some big changes.
Lately I have realized that if I want to do what I love and live the life I want, change was needed!
I have been a special education teacher as well as a shop owner for the past 5 years. Life has been crazy busy with two full time jobs! At times it was exhausting (but of course rewarding). Well, I am no longer teaching and am now putting all of my time into my shop! It was a very bitter sweet decision.
But that's not all of the exciting news!
The biggest LEAP...
Whimsy is moving locations -YIPPY:) I am so excited!!
I have out grown my shop and have been in need of space...
Clothing - A dressing room please!!
Furniture - Bedrooms, dining rooms and MORE!
Bridal - Office and viewing of some of the rentals!
Etsy - storage for all of my items!
I'll be updating you with photos of the progress:)
We are buying the building which means we get to do ANYTHING we want!!

I am going to stay open at my current location until I am ready to move to the new shop.
The shop is beautiful! If you know me, you know I am a perfectionist though!
Flooring - I want all matching and for it to look vintage so out it goes and in with new hand scraped barn wood! I thought I was going to need to tear down wainscoting and chair rail (not my look) but the renters took it to use! It has a beautiful tin ceiling, but does have some drop ceiling that I think I can hide. I am making the office area smaller to allow for more sales floor - with the HUGE basement I have so much storage. We'll be doing a TON of painting so it will have a similar look to my current shop.
This will be my bridal and event room! We also have a back entrance with parking!
