Event at Montage

Yesterday I decorated for Dr Comfort and Dr de la Hera's holiday employee dinner. The event took place at Montage Wine Bar in Downtown Morris http://montagespirits.com/
Montage has a great atmosphere so decorating was a breeze!

Ginger(owner), Nick(chef), and Juliie(employee at Montage) did a fantastic job hosting this event!

Holdiay Event

This was such a fun event to plan, we were thinking angels!

When guests arrived each couple found their name which was attached to these adorable glittered boxes. Inside was an angel picture, note from their boss, an ornament, and feathers.

At each guests seat there was the cutest menu and a miniature floral arrangement that we put in a mercury glass votive holder. wouldn't you love to have this as a party favor!?

Guest tables...

Every other chair had a pair of angel wings.

Christmas at Whimsy

I can't believe christmas is almost here! Have you finished you shopping??? I haven't started yet...I usually pick one night to go through the store and pick things for my friends and family (they all love gifts from the store). Here are a few of my favorites around the store....
I had this banner made for the entrance of the store...SOLD

I sold these last year and I had lots of cutomer requests for more this year! I like that you can use a real candle in them.

I thought these turned out really cute! These would be great for an ornament exchange...

We have lots of stockings around the store that are unique and handmade. These are cute with the santa!

I have decorated sooo many one of a kind vintage skates, I think because they are so unique they are a customer favorite! SOLD

Also decorated sleds and vintage buckets have been a great seller - both SOLD. Keep checking the store, I'll be adding more skates, sleds, stockings, and buckets as I finish them.

We get shipments of jewelry in weekly...

3 French Hens Holiday Market

I am finally posting pictures from our holiday market. We had such a GREAT time and can't thank our customers enough for joining us!!!
Here is the entrance to the tent...

Monica from Ruby Begonia's and I decided to have one 3 french hen booth instead of having our seperate booths. It was nice to have both of us collaborating on one space and of course I thought it turned out to be beautiful!

One of my best selling items this year! I used vintage book and music note paper to wrap the candles and I glittered the base

We had a vendor selling fresh. lighted trees...here is one display in an old truck!

This vendor had the cutest snowmen! I loved everyone of them!

I bought a few items from this booth...everything was so CUTE!

These carolers joined us Friday night. Everyone seemed to really enjoy them!

Weddings...

I have been meaning to post these pics from two of the weddings we planned, decorated, and did florals for over the summer...I'll post more pics from some of the other events later! Enjoy...
Tracy and Dave went away for their ceremony and decided to have family and friends join them at the Morris Country Club to celebrate once they got back! Since Tracy and Dave live in North Carolina they really relied on us to make sure all of the details were perfect! Their goal was to make family and friends feel special and to let them know they are appreciated! Their theme was tropical (since they were married in a tropical setting)...
Their photographer www.dmsphotography.com did a fabulous job!

The following are pictures from Ben and Whitney's July wedding. They were so fun to work with and despite a minor set back with a weather their event was PERFECT!!! Their photographer www.vraiphoto.com did an amazing job!!!

On Vacation

So I am back from a GREAT vacation! I went to Napa Valley for 5 days and let me tell you just how BEAUTIFUL and CHARMING it is! I'll share some pics and tips (in case you want to travel there)!
Of course the best part of the trip was all of the yummy restaurants that we ate at. We ate at two of the Thomas Keller restaurants...

Out of all of the restaurants AD HOC was by far the BEST. Ad Hoc serves a fixed menu or a vegetarian option. I was a bit worried because I am really picky, however, I lucked out and every course was delicious.
All of the Thomas Keller restaurants get their produce from this garden which is in walking distance to all of his restaurants!

Bottega was another restaurant that we ate at, you may know the chef/owner Michael Chiarello from the food network. Surprisingly we ran into him several times! My friend Michelle was OVERLY excited to see him (which became an ongoing joke the entire trip).

Bouchon Bakery was my favorite place to catch a quick breakfast or snack. Thomas Keller also owns this bakery. I had the sudden urge to open a bakery like this one...but then I remembered I don't bake!

In Yountville we ran into this adorable art gallery and winery called Maisonry www.maisonry.com ...Michelle and I both agreed this place was made for me!

Here are two night shots...we loved it so much we went back one evening before dinner to enjoy a delicious wine flight, cheese, figs, and nuts!

These are a few pics from the cutest store...

Here is a picture from the bike wine tour we took...I was so excited about this until everyone was about a mile in front of me and I thought I was going to DIE! Seriously, they should warn you before booking this! I thought it was going to be a relaxing bike ride though the hills and wineries, however, I felt like I was taking part in the tour de France! I didn't think I was out of shape but guess what...I am! I was the only one who was having trouble riding the 15 miles through winding roads...anyways think twice before booking this! i did manage to take a few pics from the tour and this one happens to be my favorite picture from the entire trip...I LOVE the view!
A beautiful view from the Opus One winery.

We stayed at the Carneros Inn in Napa. Here are a few pics...

You get your own private cottage and each cottage has it's own private patio including an outdoor shower.
If you are planning a trip feel free to ask me for advice...Thanks for viewing pics from my much needed vacation. I am relaxed and ready for the holidays! Can you believe while I was gone we began getting TONS of holiday shipments in...I can't wait!!!
