A little early for Christmas...

I know you are thinking that I have lost it!!!  Christmas ALREADY!!! Yes, I decorated for an Open House that Chapin's (a great restaurant around the corner from my shop...on Liberty) was having for their latest business venture.  They opened a new banquet facility located at 200 Gore Road in Morris.  I decided to do a table that would get people thinking about the holidays...remember if you are planning a holiday get-together venues book really fast!  I also thought that maybe the guests would walk away with a little holiday inspiration....

I'll be selling at Kane County Flea Market this Saturday and Sunday!  You'll find me in my usual spot in the poultry shed!  See you there!

Happy Engagment...

My friend Letitia and her fiance, Miles, asked me to take their engagement picture for their save-the-dates!  Of course I was flattered!!!  Taking their picture was a crazy experience!  It started raining just as we drove out to our site, once it slowed we quickly took some pics.   It was sooo humid and their were tons of bugs...YUCK!!  Leti is so gorgeous you can't tell we had all of these issues!!  Aren't they soooo cute!  I am looking forward to attending their December wedding in Savannah, Georgia!!

Saturday's Market

Thanks to all of our great customers who came out to the french market despite how hot it was!  Our little fishermen and women had such a blast at our annual 3 French Hens Fishing Derby!

These cuties were so excited to get their goodie bags...goldfish crackers, swedish fish, and lots of fishing goodies donated from Bedford Sales in Morris.

They were competing for the official 3 French Hen trophies and gift cards...thanks to Athletic Outfitters in Morris for making the trophies for us and to Wal-mart for the gift cards!!   B & B live bait donated all of the bait the kids used!   Big Fish Grill on the Riverfront was one of our sponsors as well, THANKS!

Here are three of our winners!

Don't forget our September 11th market is in the evening 5pm-10pm!  The September market is so much fun!

Day at the spa

Michelle and I had such a relaxing day at the spa today!  We had a body massage, scalp massage and algae body wrap.  The view from the spa was incredible and we stayed there all day enjoying it!

Only spa guests were able to use this pool and lounge area...we had the place to ourselves...really!

Isn't this plant so neat!?...they are all over the resort.

Getaway...

I decided to take a mini (well needed) vacation to California!  My friend Michelle and I are staying at the beautiful Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA.  It is about an hour outside of  Los Angeles right along the coast!  We plan on hanging around the pool most of the time, however, they are known for their fabulous spa so we have a day scheduled to enjoy it!  One evening we are heading to Santa Monica for a dinner at http://www.labottesantamonica.com/ and for drinks at http://www.thehuntleyhotel.com/penthouse-restaurant.php!  I CAN"T wait!  We arrived early today and headed straight for Beverly Hills for lunch and shopping!  I absolutely LOVE Cali...who wouldn't love this perfect weather!?

Here we are in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive...
We had such a great time shopping!

I'll keep you posted!

Dress forms...

I absolutely LOVE dress forms! I love them so much that I have six of them!  My latest project was transforming a new dress form into a vintage looking one!  It is so nice to have one that just looks old but is in perfect condition!  I come across so many forms that are in horrible shape...the fabric tears easily, it leans, it smells...YUCK!  It was great to work on a new piece...I primed, painted, and put a wax stain over her and voila!

I just listed this form on my etsy shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/FleaMarketChick
